The Czech & Slovak Film Festival (CSFF), proudly presented by IKSIMA Films, is pleased to announce it’s 3rd annual film festival in Sydney. The 5 day event will be held at the Dendy Cinemas from 12 – 16 October 2016.

On the back of last year’s successful festival, the event year is a full 5 day showcase of the most critically acclaimed and popular box office hits from both countries. Last year the festival screened over 30 feature films, shorts and documentaries, also presenting the best of young cinematic talent from the graduating students of the Czech and Slovak Film Academies FAMU, UTB and FTF VŠMU.

Also there will be two FREE film showcases:
15 OCT at UTS Faculty of Design – screening a collection of best animation shorts
AFTRS (Australian Film, TV & Radio School) will screen short fictions and documentaries
These films are made by graduating students from the Czech and Slovak Film Academies FAM, UTB and FTF VŠMU.

The Latin translation of our motto Vitai Lampada is “the torch of life” which acts as a guiding light through life – is certainly relevant to our people.

It’s interesting if you look at where you (or the people around you) are in life and then look back to see how you got there. The path is more often than not a convoluted path full of twists and turns and a series of events that made little or no sense at the time.

This is pure Vitai Lampada in action. At James Estate we have a fantastic yet varied “collection” of people that have all been guided here at this point in time. Everyone of us is unique and we all have something to contribute, teach or learn. This attitude makes for better people and certainly makes for better wine.

While relaxing on our casual deck overlooking the beach sample the Gold Award Winning “Bakalar” Czech beer voted the Gold Medal Winner Award in 2012 for the Best Lager in the Czech Replubic.

The MDLTC club is located in one of the most multicultural suburbs of Sydney, we welcome all levels of players. If you desire to improve your game our members or our resident pro tennis coach will be glad to assist.

MDLTC has six natural lawn/grass, two flood lit synthetic grass and 4 hardcourt tennis courts. The lawn tennis courts are reserved for members and their guests, whilst the synthetic and hard are available for hire all year round.

MDLTC also participates in the well known Sydney tennis competition, Badge. Our playing members have achieved great results since its commencement in the early 1900′s. The club has a number of men’s and women’s teams participating in Badge.

Come and visit our club you will be most welcome. Our bar and dressing room facilities are available for members and guests.
